The method can comprise: receiving downlink control information from a network device, wherein the downlink control information comprises a first field and a second field, the first field is used for determining a sidelink positioning reference signal resource, and the second field is used for instructing the activation or deactivation of the sidelink positioning reference signal resource; in response to the value of the second field, activating the sidelink positioning reference signal resource; and in response to the value of the second field, deactivating the sidelink positioning reference signal resource.
