Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for regenerating spent lube oil through separation and extraction techniques. The process involves separating and removing sludge using a base treatment, followed by solvent extraction to eliminate metals and asphaltenes from the separated oil. This method achieves an oil recovery rate of 75–87%, significantly 99.58 % reducing the metal content (from an initial 4306 ppm to approximately 18 ppm). The invention offers an efficient and sustainable approach to regenerating high-quality base oil from spent lube oil.
