Abstract: Present disclosure discloses a method (200) for relining an inner portion of a furnace (100). The method includes disposing a platform (120) proximal to opening (110) formed at predetermined distance from bottom end (102) of furnace. Further, the method includes disposing an actuation mechanism (130) at a top end (104) of furnace. The actuation mechanism comprises a plurality of connecting members (122). Furthermore, the method (200) includes coupling plurality of connecting members with platform. In addition, the method includes controlling each connecting member through actuation mechanism, to selectively activate corresponding connecting member and steer platform into internal chamber (116) of furnace, through opening. Also, the method (200) includes controlling each connecting member (122), through actuation mechanism (130), to displace platform between first position (FP) and second position (SP) within internal chamber (116). Moreover, the method (200) includes facilitating relining of refractory (114) and cooling plates (112) of the furnace (100). Figure 4 is a representative figure.
