Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR REAL-TIME ACQUISITION OF ATMOSPHERIC AND OCENOGRAPHIC PARAMETERS FOR WEATHER AND CYCLONE FORECASTING A real-time atmospheric and oceanographic data collection and forecasting system (100) for cyclone prediction. The system (100) comprises a plurality of onshore weather monitoring stations (102), a plurality of nearshore weather monitoring station (106), a plurality of offshore monitoring stations (108), a data collection module (110), a communication network module (116), a centralized data processing unit (118) and an early warning interface (120). The communication network module (116) is configured to transmit the packetized sensor data via at least one of a satellite link or a cellular network. The centralized data processing unit (118) comprising one or more hardware processors and a memory is configure to receive and aggregate the packetized sensor data via a data aggregation module (118a) and pre-process the aggregated datasets via a pre-processing engine (118b) to compute derived environmental indicator. The early warning interface (120) is configured to output the cyclone predictions to dissemination platforms.
