The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to composite materials and recycling-based particulate reinforcement, and discloses an integrated method for producing a jute fiber epoxy composite reinforced with surface-modified submicron glass particles derived from recycled float soda-lime glass panel waste. Waste glass is washed, dried, broken into smaller pieces, processed to micron particles, reduced by planetary ball milling to submicron particles of about 541 nm, oxidatively activated using a piranha solution of H2SO4 and H2O2, and silanized with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane in ethanol to improve interfacial compatibility with an epoxy matrix. The silanized particles are dispersed at about 0.5 wt% in epoxy resin, combined with alkali-treated bidirectional jute fabric, and formed into a four-ply 0°/90°/0°/90° laminate by vacuum-assisted resin infusion and curing. The invention provides a single integrated reinforcement route for value-added utilization of waste glass and improved performance of jute fiber epoxy composites. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.
