Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION Method for producing cellulose fibers from cow dung for the manufacture of handmade paper ABSTRACT The present invention provides an eco-friendly method for producing cellulose fibers from cow dung, aimed at sustainable handmade paper manufacturing. The method involves key steps: collecting and sun-drying fresh cow dung, grinding it into a fine powder, and treating the powder with dilute sodium hydroxide and sulfuric acid solutions to extract and purify cellulose fibers. The resulting fibers are bleached using hydrogen peroxide, ensuring minimal environmental impact. The method yields high-quality cellulose suitable for paper production, characterized by approximately 101.50 GSM, a tensile index of at least 48 N·m/g, a burst index of 3.50 kPa·m²/g, and a brightness percentage of 81. This innovative approach not only reduces reliance on traditional wood pulp but also promotes resource efficiency by utilizing agricultural waste, contributing to environmental sustainability.
