MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641109933 A) filed by Sr University on September 14, 2026, for Method For Producing Alkali-Activated Construction Material Using Biomedical Waste Ash.
Inventors include Mrs Govindu Ambeshwari; Dr. P Swamy Naga Ratna Giri; Dr. Pancharathi Rathish Kumar; Mrs Sirangi Bhavani; and Mr Dandapelli Harshavardhan.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a method (100) for producing alkali-activated construction material using biomedical waste ash comprises subjecting biomedical waste to thermal treatment and collecting resulting biomedical waste ash, the biomedical waste ash is mechanically processed for reducing particle size and increasing fineness, followed by particle size separation for obtaining a selected fine fraction, the selected fine fraction is combined with supplementary binder materials to form a multi constituent binder precursor, an alkaline activating medium is introduced into the binder precursor for forming an activated binder mixture, the activated binder mixture is mixed with construction material constituents to form a substantially homogeneous mortar forming mixture, which is placed and compacted within moulds to form material specimens, the material specimens are cured under ambient conditions to develop hardened alkali-activated construction material, material characteristics are determined through evaluation of consistency and setting behaviour.
