Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing a neuroprotective polyherbal formulation for the management of Parkinson’s disease. The method comprises authentication, shade drying and size reduction of Mucuna pruriens seed, Bacopa monnieri whole plant, Withania somnifera root, Centella asiatica whole plant, Curcuma longa rhizome and Tinospora cordifolia stem; hydroalcoholic extraction in 50:50 ethanol-water at 55 °C; vacuum concentration; spray drying with maltodextrin carrier; and blending of the standardised extracts in a synergistic ratio of 25:20:20:15:10:5:5 by weight, followed by granulation, lubrication, compression and film coating to obtain a stable 500 milligram oral tablet. The formulation acts through multiple mechanisms including dopamine replenishment, antioxidant defence and anti-inflammatory activity, restoring striatal dopamine, preserving tyrosine hydroxylase positive neurons and significantly improving motor function in rotenone- induced Parkinsonian models
