Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method (100) for preparing a micropatterned mold. The method (100) includes providing (102) a curable polymeric material in a partially cured viscoelastic state. Further, the method (100) includes embedding (104) at least a portion of a porous template within a surface region of the partially cured viscoelastic polymeric material. Thereafter, the method (100) includes curing (106) the partially cured viscoelastic polymeric material having the porous template embedded therein to form a micropatterned elastomeric body having a micropatterned surface corresponding to the porous template. Furthermore, the method (100) includes removing (108) the porous template from the micropatterned elastomeric body to obtain the micropatterned mold.
