Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing 1-[5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-{[3-(3-methoxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl}-1H-pyrrol-3-yl]-N-methylmethylamine and a hydrochloride thereof. In the preparation method, a treatment method after the preparation of 3-(3-methoxypropoxy)benzenesulfonyl chloride (H2) is optimized, and the purity of a sodium sulfonate salt formed after impurity removal is high. Furthermore, by means of a chlorination reaction, 3-(3-methoxypropoxy)benzenesulfonyl chloride (H2) having high purity and stable quality can be obtained. In addition, under the action of an alkali, by adding a small amount of a catalyst, a relatively high reaction conversion rate can be achieved to prepare 5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-{[3-(3-methoxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl}-1H-pyrrole-3-formaldehyde (H3). The 1-[5-(2- fluorophenyl)-1-{[3-(3-methoxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl}-1H-pyrrol-3-yl]-N-methylmethylamine and the hydrochloride thereof as prepared by the method have a low impurity content and a high yield and is suitable for industrial production.
