Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR PREDICTING RISK OF LOAN DEFAULT A method (100) for predicting risk of loan default, the method (100) comprising the steps of collecting a data from a loan applicant, pre-processing the data to standardize and normalize input features for analysis, applying a machine learning protocol to the pre- processed data, the machine learning algorithm is trained on historical loan applicant data, including features corresponding to previous loan applicants and repayment behaviour of the previous loan applicants, generating a risk prediction for the loan applicant using the trained machine learning model, the risk prediction classifies the applicant as a high-risk or low-risk candidate for loan default and displaying the risk prediction to a bank to assist in the loan approval process.
