The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for piecing a fibre bundle end (2) to a bob-bin-side yarn end (3) at a spinning station (4) having a spinning nozzle (5) of an air-jet spinning machine (1), the yarn end (3) being fed back through the spinning nozzle (5) counter to a take-off direction (AR) of the yarn (15) and the yarn end (3) being brought into contact with the fibre bundle end (2). During a piecing phase (8), a take-off device (6) is put into operation and nozzle bores (7) of the spinning nozzle (5) are supplied with spinning air so that the fibre bundle end (2) is pieced onto the yarn end (3) by the action of the air flows in the spinning nozzle (5). During a start-up phase (9), a take-off speed (v) of the take-off device (6) is accelerated to a regular production speed (vP), wherein the take-off device (6) and an air pressure (p) and/or a volume flow of the spinning air are controlled by means of a control unit (11) of the spinning station (4) and/or the air-jet spinning machine (1). During the piecing phase (8) and/or during the start-up phase (9), a device (12) for regulating the spinning air is used to set an air pressure (p) and/or volume flow of the spinning air that deviates from a regular spinning air pressure (pSp) or a regular spinning volume flow, the air pressure (p) and/or the vol-ume flow of the spinning air being adjusted to a current take-off speed (v) of the take-off device (6). A corresponding air-jet spinning machine has at least one control unit (11) configured to control the take-off device (6) and a de-vice (12) for regulating spinning air in accordance with the method.
