Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of suppressing structural spalling in an unburned magnesia-chrome brick. In the present invention, in order to solve this problem, a refractory raw material blend is kneaded, is then subjected to press molding, and is then heated to 60-1000°C, wherein the refractory raw material blend contains magnesia-chrome-based raw materials in a total amount of 73-98 mass% and alumina-based raw materials in a total amount of 1-25 mass% and further contains a binder.
