Ltd on July 24, 2025, for Method For Hydroquinone Production From Photosynthetic Systems By Minimizing Side Reactions Of The Corresponding Benzoquinone.

Inventors include G. K. Suraishkumar; and Sai Saranga Das.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: Method for hydroquinone production from photosynthetic systems by minimizing side reactions of the corresponding benzoquinone The present invention provides a process for preparing a hydroquinone from its corresponding benzoquinone using photosynthetic systems in the presence of light while simultaneously minimizing the light induced side reactions of the corresponding benzoquinone. More particularly, the present invention provides a method for curbing the light induced side reactions of the benzoquinone through the use of light filters. The process facilitates the prevention of wastage of the substrate by formation of unwanted side products and in turn improves the economics of the process.
