MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631075622 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology Rourkela Nit Rourkela on June 18, 2026, for Method For Fabricating High Temperature Components Using Superalloy Composition (amprealloy).
Inventors include Behera, Prof. Ajit; and Mallick, Mr. Priyabrata.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for fabricating a component using an superalloy composition by providing elemental powders, homogenizing the elemental powders in predetermined proportions to form a homogenized powder, sintering the homogenized powder, consolidating the sintered homogenized powder using Directed Energy Deposition to form a component under controlled process parameters and forming a three-dimensional structure component layer-by-layer. The superalloy composition sustains structural integrity at temperatures up to 1600 ° C and achieves weight reduction without reduction in mechanical strength.
