MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641104479 A) filed by Nitte Deemed To Be University; Dr. Raghavendra; and Mr. Pawan Nayak N on August 31, 2026, for Method For Fabricating A Supercapacitor Electrode Having Enhanced Electrochemical Performance.
Inventors include Dr. Raghavendra Bairy; and Mr. Pawan Nayak N.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a method (100) for fabricating a supercapacitor electrode having enhanced electrochemical performance comprising cleaning a transparent conductive oxide-coated glass substrate using a lower aliphatic alcohol and rinsing with a deionised aqueous medium, preparing a precursor solution by dissolving a first transition metal salt precursor and an alkali metal salt precursor in an aqueous solvent medium, adding a viscosity-modifying agent to the precursor solution, stirring the precursor solution continuously, heating the substrate at a predetermined operating temperature, atomising the homogeneous precursor solution to facilitate formation of uniform precursor aerosol, depositing the atomised precursor aerosol onto the substrate to form a precursor layer, decomposing the precursor layer thermally on the heated substrate form a nanostructured alkali metal-substituted transition metal oxide thin film, annealing the deposited nanostructured thin film and obtaining a homogeneous nanostructured alkali metal-substituted transition metal oxide thin-film electrode having enhanced electrochemical performance.
