Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR ENHANCING THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF BIODEGRADABLE NANOPARTICLES Disclosed herein a method (100) for enhancing the therapeutic potential of biodegradable nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery, the method comprising modifying the surface of biodegradable nanoparticles via hydrophilic polymers or biomimetic coatings to reduce immune recognition and clearance. The method further comprises functionalizing biodegradable nanoparticles with targeting ligands selected from antibodies, peptides, or aptamers to improve targeting specificity. Further, optimizing the physicochemical properties of biodegradable nanoparticles to enhance stability in biological fluids. Further, encapsulating therapeutic agents within biodegradable nanoparticles using advanced encapsulation techniques to achieve high drug loading and controlled release kinetics and designing biodegradable nanoparticles to respond to external stimuli for enhanced tissue penetration.
