Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method for displaying a notification and an electronic device. The method comprises: when a first live task process is present on a first electronic device, and the state of the first electronic device is switched to a screen locking state, displaying, on a screen locking page of the first electronic device, a first notification corresponding to the first live task process, wherein the first notification is presented in a capsule state; in response to a first operation of a user, expanding into a second notification the first notification displayed on the screen locking page of the first electronic device, the second notification being presented in a card state; and in response to a second operation of the user, expanding into a third notification the second notification displayed on the screen locking page of the first electronic device, the third notification being displayed in full screen. By means of the method or the electronic device, live task notifications can be presented on a screen locking page in different forms, and the live task notifications can be switched between different presentation forms, so that the notification display demands of a user in different scenes can be met.
