Abstract: METHOD FOR DETECTING WEIGH FEEDER ERROR IN A BULK MATERIAL HANDLING PLANT AND SYSTEM THEREOF Present invention discloses a method (300) and an error detecting system (105) for detecting weigh feeder error in a bulk material handling plant. Method comprising receiving values corresponding to a plurality of parameters related to a weigh feeder (101) in real-time from one or more sensors. Thereafter, method comprising estimating a process value based on the received values corresponding to the plurality of parameters. Subsequently, method comprising determining deviation of the estimated process value from a predefined set value. Lastly, method comprising sending an alert signal to an output device to alert an operator when the deviation of the estimated process value exceeds a threshold margin from the predefined set value. One or more sensors comprise a belt speed sensor connected to a weigh feeder belt, a tachometer connected to at least one weigh feeder rollers, and at least one load cell sensor connected to weigh feeder load cells.
