Abstract: The current invention is a protocol based on Topological Quantum Error Correction (TQEC) method integrated with in HYEBQKD protocol that can protect against mode-selective entanglement hijacking (MSEH). In our proposed work, quantum information is represented as logical states that can produced through quantum error correcting technique with topological quantum codes like surface code and integrated with GKP codes. Afterwards the entangled resources like EPR source have to be sent by means of quantum transmission channels. After the communicating process between two parties comes to an end, the receiving side is expected to retrieve the stabilizer syndromes in both modes and validate the entangled states. The session syndromes would help verify if an attack has taken place. If certain conditions are met, logical units using quantum modes involved in attacks would be thrown out or blocked, while proper units would be used for QKD. Finally, the proposed HYEBQKD protocol achieves fault-tolerant quantum communication and noise resilience system.
