Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-assisted method and system for detecting lung diseases from chest X-ray images. The invention utilizes image preprocessing techniques and deep learning-based classification models to automatically analyze chest radiographs and identify pulmonary abnormalities. The system receives chest X-ray images from digital imaging sources and performs operations including image normalization, contrast enhancement, noise reduction, and lung region segmentation to improve diagnostic accuracy. The processed images are analyzed using one or more trained neural network architectures configured to extract relevant image features and classify respiratory diseases. The invention is capable of detecting multiple lung conditions including pneumonia, tuberculosis, fibrosis, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, pulmonary edema, and lung opacity. The system may further generate disease probability scores, confidence values, and visualization maps highlighting suspicious regions within the radiographic image. In certain embodiments, the invention supports multi-label disease prediction and severity assessment for assisting clinical decision-making.
