Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR ADDITION OF EVENT STATUS IN UE REACHABILITY EVENT OF NEF The present invention provides a method 300 for indicating reachability status of a user equipment (UE) in a communication network. The method comprises receiving, by a network exposure function (NEF) 102 via a service API, a UE reachability status request from a network function (NF) service consumer 101 for conveying the reachability status of the UE. Further, the method comprises sending, by the NEF 102, the UE reachability status request to a NF service producer 103 via event exposure API of the NF service producer 103, receiving, by the NEF, via event exposure notification API of the NF service producer 103, a UE reachability status response via a notification indicating unreachability status of the UE, and sending the reachability status response of the UE as unreachable to the NF service consumer 101. The present invention also provides a node 102 for indicating reachability status of a user equipment (UE) in a communication network, wherein the node implements a network exposure function (NEF).
