Abstract: METHOD FABRICATING A REINFORCED STRUCTURAL MATERIAL FROM ENGINEERED BAMBOO Provided is a method (100) for fabricating a reinforced structural material from engineered bamboo. The method comprises selecting (102) bamboo segments having specified dimensions and thereby performing (104) a chemical treatment by immersing the bamboo segments in a chemical solution. Further, the method comprises slicing (106) the treated bamboo segments into bamboo strips of uniform thickness. Furthermore, the method comprises laminating or glueing (108) a plurality of bamboo strips together using an adhesive to form a bamboo reinforced unit. Upon, laminating or glueing, the method comprises coating (110) the bamboo reinforced unit with a protective layer. Moreover, the method comprises applying (112) a binding agent on an outer surface of the bamboo reinforced unit for fabricating the reinforced structural material.
