Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM OF PREVENTING DOORING IN A VEHICLE A method (500) and system (100) of preventing dooring in a vehicle (202) is disclosed. The controller (106) determines a lock-state of each of a plurality of doors of the vehicle (D1-D5) as one of: a locked-state and an unlocked-state. The controller (106) determines a safety-state of the at least one door as one of: a safe-state and an unsafe-state based on the safety information is determined. The controller (106) determines an operational state of the at least one door as one of: a not-opened state, a partially-opened state and a fully-opened state. The controller (106) generates an alert indicating the unsafe-state of the at least one door (D1-D5). Further, the controller (106) activates a locking mechanism (112) associated to a door- strap (302) of the at least one door (D1-D5) to prevent switching of the operational state of the at least one door (D1-D5).
