Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for monitoring signaling traffic in a 5G core network. This method involves receiving a selection request by a first Management Service (MnS) producer that defines one or more signaling traffic monitoring criteria, which include a target network function, a target interface supported by the network function, and a target service operation. The first MnS producer then configures a second MnS producer to collect and stream data corresponding to the monitoring criteria specified in the selection request. Finally, the second MnS producer reports the generated data stream that matches the selection request, facilitating targeted analysis without requiring the decryption of unrelated signaling traffic.
