Abstract: Method and System for Repowering of Wind Farms Using a Bioinspired Optimization Approach The present invention relates to a method and system for repowering existing wind farms using a bioinspired optimization approach. The system comprises a data acquisition module configured to receive wind resource, turbine, terrain, and economic data, a wind farm modeling module, a bioinspired optimization engine configured to generate optimal repowering configurations, a simulation and evaluation module configured to assess technical and economic performance, an adaptive parameter tuning module configured to dynamically adjust optimization parameters, an incremental learning module configured to improve optimization performance using historical results, and a decision-support interface configured to recommend optimal repowering strategies. The optimization framework simultaneously maximizes annual energy production while minimizing wake losses, project cost, and land utilization subject to site-specific constraints. The invention provides a generalized and scalable repowering platform applicable to onshore and offshore wind farms, thereby improving energy yield, computational efficiency, economic viability, and renewable energy utilization.
