Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME MONITORING OF PROCESS SAFETY BARRIERS The present disclosure relates to a method and system for real-5 time monitoring of the process safety barriers in an industrial environment. The system comprises a controller, which is configured to obtain real-time operational data associated with a plurality of process safety barriers from at least one of a process automation system, a plant maintenance system, and a web-based safety management 10 system. The controller is then configured to evaluate operating status of each of the plurality of process safety barriers based on the real-time operational data. Further, the controller is configured to determine risk level of high consequence scenarios related to each of the plurality of process safety barriers based on the evaluation. The controller is further configured to generate and display a health 15 report representing the risk level of each high consequence scenario related to process safety barriers to ensure safety in the industrial environment.
