Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system for automatically provisioning network configuration and digital certificates to resources in an Industrial Automation and Control System (IACS). The method comprises detecting an association of a new resource to the IACS. Further, the method comprises retrieving a unique resource identification corresponding to the resource using an identifier associated with the resource. Thereafter, the method comprises registering the resource with a network of resources in the IACS based on a product instance Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the resource, comprised in the unique resource identification. Finally, the method comprises automatically provisioning the network configuration and the digital certificate for the resource based on the unique resource identification upon successful registration of the resource.
