MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641090989 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 27, 2026, for Method And System For Preserving Ethanol-Blended Fuel Quality Using Artificial Intelligence- Based Lifecycle Integrity Assessment.

Inventors include Dr. Abhijit Kr Darbey; and Siddharth Goutam Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRESERVING ETHANOL-BLENDED FUEL QUALITY USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED LIFECYCLE INTEGRITY ASSESSMENT A method and system for preserving quality of ethanol-blended fuel are disclosed. The method includes generating, by a Blend Integrity Token Engine, a Blend Integrity Token for an ethanol-blended fuel batch produced at a blending facility. The method includes creating, by a Fuel Lifecycle Passport Engine, a Fuel Lifecycle Passport that records lifecycle parameters throughout a distribution lifecycle. The method includes continuously updating, by a Lifecycle Monitoring Engine, the Fuel Lifecycle Passport as the fuel batch moves through storage terminals, transportation systems, and distribution points. The method includes analyzing, by a BlendGuardNet Artificial Intelligence Module, the lifecycle parameters to generate integrity scores including a Blend Integrity Score, a Stability Degradation Score, and a Contamination Risk Score. The method includes evaluating, by a Fuel Integrity Assessment Engine, the integrity scores to determine a current health status. The method includes recommending, by an Integrity Recommendation Engine, corrective actions when deterioration risks are identified.
