MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019926 A) filed by Tata Steel Limited on March 05, 2025, for Method And System For Predicting Consumption Patterns Of Raw Material From A Plurality Of Geographic Locations.

Inventors include Amrita Biswas; Sudipta Ghosh; and Sanjoy Biswas.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING CONSUMPTION PATTERNS OF RAW MATERIAL FROM A PLURALITY OF GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a system (200) for predicting consumption patterns of raw material from a plurality of geographic locations. The system (200) may include a controller (204) configured to predict consumption patterns of the raw material, from each prediction model of a plurality of prediction models (210) for a plurality of predefined consecutive time frames, based on a plurality of historical parameters. After predicting consumption patterns of the raw material, the controller (204) is configured to identify a reference prediction model from the plurality of prediction models based on the optimization of each prediction model. The controller (204) is configured to adjust the consumption patterns of the raw material predicted by the reference model for the plurality of predefined consecutive time frames other than the respective specific time frame based on the consumption patterns predicted by the plurality of prediction models (210) and generate the predicted consumption patterns of the raw material from the plurality of geographic locations.
