Furthermore, the method includes determining (506) a reaction time and supplementary data, based on difference between the presentation of one or more randomized visual stimuli and the one or more stimulus triggers. Moreover, the method includes generating (508), using a machine learning model, cognitive performance metrics based on analysis of the determined reaction time and the determined supplementary data. Further, the method includes predicting (510) the alertness of the user based on the generated cognitive performance metrics.
