Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING EYE TRACKING Disclosed subject matter relates to a method and eye tracking system for performing eye tracking for users. The method includes receiving an eye image of a user, captured by a camera of a HMD device. HMD device comprises one camera for monitoring each eye. Thereafter, the method includes predicting an optical axis of an eye of the user, by correlating eye tracking features in received eye image with the eye tracking features in a plurality of training eye images trained based on a multi-camera based geometric model. The correlation is performed using a single camera based AI prediction model. The plurality of training eye images are captured by at least two cameras of a training HMD device. Training HMD device comprises at least two cameras for monitoring each eye. Thereafter, the method includes performing eye tracking for the user based on predicted optical axis of the eye of the user. Fig. 1
