MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641114401 A) filed by Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute Of Engineering And Technology on September 24, 2026, for Method And System For Optimizing Silicon Carbide And Fly Ash Reinforcement In Aa6061 Metal Matrix Composites.

Inventor includes Dr. V V D Sahithi.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT [0034] Alloys and metals are normally shaped and produced in the bulk form can be familiarly united with substitute materials which serves to meliorate the performance resulting in the formation of MMCs. The usage of MMC has been increased due to its majestic properties like resistance to impact, enhanced strength and key tailored material characteristics. The present work is aimed to probe prior effect of FA content on impact, hardness and tensile of the sand casted AA6061/SiC/FA specimens. Statistical process parameters technique taguchi L9 OA (Larger the better) condition has been carried out on the pre-defined process parameters like AA6061 (500 gms), SiC (1, 2 and 3 %wt) and FA (1, 2 and 3 %wt). Macroscopic fractural investigation has been carried out on the tensile and impact failure specimens besides the fracture material tensile, elongation and amount of energy absorbed by the sand casted specimens were reported. Hardness observations has been executed for casted type specimens for measuring material plastic deformation when subjected to external stress.
