MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441040430 A) filed by Eicher Motors Limited on May 24, 2024, for Method And System For Monitoring Temperature Of Body Of A Vehicle.

Inventors include Pooja Shanmugam Baburaj; Claritus Ruban Dsouza; and Roopesh Akkashetty Rajashekar.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING TEMPERATURE OF BODY OF A VEHICLE A system 200 for monitoring temperature in a vehicle 100 is disclosed. The system 5 comprises one or more temperature sensors 202 positioned in different regions of the vehicle 100 that are prone to heating and a proximity sensor 204 configured to detect the presence of a user 102 near the vehicle 100. A Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) 206 comprising a processor 208 and a memory 210 is configured to receive temperature data at predefined intervals and, upon detecting user proximity, 10 compare the temperature data with region-specific threshold values stored in the memory 210. When the temperature in any region exceeds the corresponding threshold, the VCU 206 generates an alert signal, which is communicated to the user 102 by a user device 104 via a wireless interface
