MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541023153 A) filed by Bharat Electronics Limited on March 15, 2025, for Method And System For Mitigating Inter-Numerology Interference In A Mixed Numerology Receiver.

Inventors include Jharia, Preeti; Tenneti, Venkata Satya Sreedhar; and Chaudhari, Shashikant Yashwant.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques for mitigating Inter-Numerology Interference (INI) in a mixed numerology receiver. The method includes determining, for each of a plurality of user devices, an interference power for each subcarrier among a plurality of subcarriers based on one or more channel estimates. The method includes selecting, for at least two user devices, a subset of subcarriers among the plurality of subcarriers based on the determined interference powers. The method includes determining interference signal amplitudes for each of the subcarriers based on the corresponding one or more channel estimates. The method includes determining an instantaneous INI matrix associated with the selected subset of subcarriers for each of the at least two user devices based on the interference signal amplitudes. The method includes mitigating the INI among the selected subset of subcarriers for each of the at least two user devices, based on the determined instantaneous INI matrix.
