MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531131035 A) filed by Robofly Technology Private Limited on December 24, 2025, for Method And System For Mitigating Forest Fires.
Inventors include Dr. Dericks Shukla; Alok Ranjan; Shaurya Singh; and Arpana Kumari.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING DEPLOYMENT OF FIRE-SUPPRESSION RESOURCE IN A GEOGRAPHIC REGION A method (300) and system (100) for controlling deployment of fire-suppression resource in a geographic region is disclosed. A processor (104) receives meteorological data associated with the geographic region, the meteorological data comprising weather parameters corresponding to time instances. The processor (104) generates weather-feature sequences based on the meteorological data, each weather-feature sequence corresponding to a respective location and comprising values of the weather parameters over a predefined temporal window. The processor (104) processes each weather-feature sequence using a trained temporal prediction model to generate a fire probability value for the respective location. The processor (104) determines a fire risk classification, identifies at least one peak-risk time window, and generates a spatial fire-risk output. The processor (104) selects a target location based on the spatial fire-risk output and generates a deployment instruction for causing deployment of an extinguishing drone or a water-spray drone toward the target location.
