Abstract: A method (300) and system (100) for liveness detection of a user is disclosed. The method (300) includes obtaining an input based on receiving signals from at least one of one or more earbuds and a head-mounted display (HMD) device associated with the user. The input includes at least one of audio data and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data. Further, the method (300) includes extracting at least one of audio features and facial motion features based on preprocessing the obtained input. Furthermore, the method (300) includes fusing the extracted audio features and the extracted facial motion features using a trained artificial intelligence (AI) model. Moreover, the method (300) includes recognizing, using the trained AI model, facial-specific silent motion features based on the fusion, thereby detecting the liveness of the user.
