As customer interests may change from time to time, based on requirements, the existing approaches fail to consider such factors. Method and system of present disclosure facilitate intent based product recommendation. The system collects information on user clicks and categorizes the clicks as complete and incomplete. Further, complete sequence is generated for the incomplete sequences. Further, a plurality of intended product groups are identified for the user. Further, based on the plurality of intended product groups identified, and a customer similarity data, one or more product recommendations are generated. [
