Abstract: Method, system, and computer-readable storage media for evaluating quality of articles are disclosed. Image data including images or frames are received. Images or frames are captured using imaging sensor and when article is within field of view of imaging sensor. Specified image or specified frame entirely capturing article is selected. Specified image or specified frame is resized to aspect ratio. To resize specified image or specified frame, specified image or specified frame is padded with image data of color in specific areas of specified image or specified frame. Resized specified image or resized specified frame is augmented with criteria including angle correction, rotation, shearing effect, and/or stretching effect. Resized specified image or resized specified frame is processed in parallel, using deep residual learning-based model and convolutional neural network-based model, using combined flatten layer structure, for detecting defect in article. Article is moved to section corresponding to detected defect in article.
