Abstract: Titel: Method and system for Efficient Sewage Wastewater Purification The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for treating sewage through sonolysis, employing ultrasonic waves to degrade both organic and inorganic contaminants in wastewater. This sonolytic process harnesses high-frequency ultrasonic waves to induce cavitation within the wastewater, generating microbubbles that implode with intense localized energy. The resulting cavitation enhances the breakdown of pollutants, minimizing the need for chemical additives typically used in traditional sewage treatments. In addition to degrading contaminants, the ultrasonic treatment process effectively neutralizes pathogens, contributing to a higher standard of treated wastewater that meets strict environmental regulations. By optimizing factors such as frequency, treatment duration, and pressure, this method maximizes pollutant reduction, including turbidity, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and chlorides, while controlling sludge production. Scalability is a key feature of this invention, making it suitable for various applications, from small-scale residential setups to large municipal sewage treatment facilities. This system can function independently or as an auxiliary process, enhancing the efficiency of existing sewage treatment plants.
