Abstract: The present subject matter provides a method and a system for displaying multimedia content. A control unit (108) of a vehicle (104) detects an ignition state of the vehicle (104). The control unit (108) then retrieves or determines a current timestamp based on the detected ignition state. The control unit (108) performs a check to determine whether a portion of the current timestamp matches with at least a portion of an event timestamp stored in a memory unit (110). The control unit (108) determines one or more events associated with the current timestamp based on the determined matching. Further, the control unit (108) displays a multimedia content based on the determined events on a display device (106) of the vehicle (104). This enables a user of the vehicle (104) to feel freshness at every boarding time and further improves the added value of the vehicle’s display device (106).
