Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DIMINISHING GLARE IN AN OUTSIDE REAR-VIEW MIRROR (ORVM) OF A VEHICLE This disclosure relates to a method for diminishing glare in an Outside Rear-view Mirror (ORVM) of a vehicle, an ORVM system, and a vehicle comprising the ORVM system. The ORVM system may include a mirror disposed within a housing. The ORVM system may further include an anti-glare strip disposed around a perimeter of the mirror and disposed within the housing. The anti glare strip is enabled to emit light with a desired frequency or wavelength. The method includes detecting, by an ambient light sensor, an ambient light around the vehicle. The method further includes activating, by a switching circuit, the anti-glare strip upon determining the ambient light to be lower than a predefined threshold. [
