Abstract: Systems and methods for spam detection are disclosed. When a user device receives a spam communication from another user device, a SIM of the user device sends information associated with the another user device and the at least one detected event to a spam detection server. The system includes the spam detection server which receives the information of the second user device and at least one detected event. The spam detection server categorizes the second user device as a spam communication device when the at least event is determined to indicate spam communication and provides the information and the categorization to a network server. The network server monitors a communication request from the second user device directed to a recipient user device, and sends a spam alert to the recipient user device based on the categorization of the second user device.
