MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202614060190 A) filed by Cambium Networks Limited on May 12, 2026, for Method And System For Detecting Unauthorized Physical Relocation Of Fixed Wireless Subscriber Modules.
Inventor includes Ashraf Nusairat.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING UNAUTHORIZED PHYSICAL RELOCATION OF FIXED WIRELESS SUBSCRIBER MODULES A method (300) for detecting unauthorized physical relocation of a fixed wireless subscriber module includes capturing (302) in real-time, by a network device (200), parameters corresponding to the fixed wireless subscriber module serving an access point after registration. The method (300) includes comparing (304) the parameters with a baseline Radio Frequency (RF) fingerprint associated with the fixed wireless subscriber module using a predefined analysis technique, wherein the baseline RF fingerprint is generated during installation. The method (300) further includes identifying (306) a deviation based on the comparison, computing (308) a composite deviation score using a predefined algorithm, comparing (310) the composite deviation score with a predefined threshold, and upon determining the score exceeds the threshold, flagging (312) the fixed wireless subscriber module as physically relocated from an authorized location.
