Abstract: Disclosed herein are system (200) and method (500) for detecting root cause of malfunctioning of a plurality of vehicles. Initially, in response to receiving a plurality of reports associated with the malfunctioning of the plurality of vehicles, at least one potential cause of the malfunctioning based on a predefined criteria are determined. Further, at least one common supplier of corresponding one or more components are identified based on corresponding unique identifiers associated with the vehicles and a first time duration of manufacture of the corresponding one or more components is determined. Furthermore, a subset of values, for the first duration, associated with one or more parameters for respective manufacturing processes of the corresponding one or more components are analyzed to detect root cause of the malfunctioning of the plurality of vehicles.
