Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING FUEL RE-FILL AND FUEL THEFT IN A VEHICLE The present disclosure relates to a method (300) for detecting fuel re-fill or fuel theft in a vehicle. Method comprises continuously (302) receiving voltage values from at least one voltage sensor associated with at least one fuel tank of the vehicle, converting the voltage values into corresponding fuel level values. Method comprises detecting (306) a slosh condition based on the fuel level values and monitoring the fuel level values, odometer values, and engine speed to determine if the vehicle is stationary. Upon determining that vehicle is stationary, the method comprises analysing (312) the fuel level values to identify trends and calculating (314) a fuel level difference between consecutive fuel level values until a trend reversal is detected. Trend reversal corresponds to a gradual decrease followed by an increase in fuel levels or vice versa. Method enables real-time detection of fuel re- fill or fuel theft, facilitates alert generation for enhanced monitoring. FIG. 1
