Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF FUEL INJECTION The present disclosure generally relates to automobile engineering. Particularly, but not exclusively, the present disclosure relates to a method and system for controlling an operation of fuel injection. The method discloses receiving, by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) (207), atmospheric pressure value from an environment pressure sensor (209). Further, the received atmospheric pressure value is compared with predefined atmospheric pressure value. The method further discloses activating double pilot injection strategy during a compression stroke of a vehicle when the received atmospheric pressure value is less than a predefined atmospheric pressure threshold. Further, adjusting a quantity of fuel and a fuel insertion time between a main fuel injection and a double pilot injection based on a predefined value. Finally, the method indicates adjusting, by the ECU (207), the quantity of fuel and the fuel insertion time between the double pilot injection based on the predefined values.
