The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: A method (200) and system (100) for calibrating a vehicle engine (110) based on standardized emission norms. An air charge flow (380) supplied to an engine (110) is determined based on change in volumetric efficiency between raw air mass flow (310) and EGR mass flow (350). The air path parameters (400, 500, 600) is re- calibrated based on engine operating conditions. A combustion bowl geometry (700) is optimized with a diameter and depth ratio to enhance an in-cylinder mixing, retain fuel spray within bowl and reduce soot formation. An intake throttling and late post-injection is applied to the engine (110) to raise exhaust temperature in an engine regeneration mode and reverting to a normal operating mode. An engine-out NOx is estimated by a feedforward-dominant model (800, 900, 960) using the air mass estimation, the calibrated air-path parameters and the temperature management to determine DEF dosing quantity and SCR dosing.
