MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617069570 A) filed by Orange on June 03, 2026, for Method And Device For The Contextual Encoding And Decoding Of Image Sequences.
Inventors include Ladune, Theo; Philippe, Pierrick; and Leguay, Thomas.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for encoding and a method for decoding a current image (Idv) in a sequence of images (SV). The decoding comprises the following steps: - obtaining (E30) coded correction information (FCc) for the current image; - obtaining (E30, E31, E32, E33) at least one prediction image (IP/FMP) for the current image; - decoding (E35) the correction information (FCc) using the at least one prediction image to generate a set of feature maps, referred to as reconstruction maps (FMR); - decoding (E34) at least part of a set of reconstruction parameters (WR) representative of at least one reconstruction neural network (MREC); - processing (E37) the reconstruction maps by means of the at least one reconstruction neural network to produce a decoded representation of the current image (Ivd).
