MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647083826 A) filed by D&g Recycling Gmbh on July 08, 2026, for Method And Device For Separating Particles Comprising Plastic Particles With Different Compositions.

Inventors include Deinert, Jrgen; and Egert, Gordon.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to separate particles (5) comprising plastic particles (25) with different compositions. This is achieved in that the particles (5), which have previously been in contact with a liquid (11), are subjected to a drying process (13) in order to remove the liquid (11) from the particles. After the drying process (13), the particles (5) are subjected to an electrostatic charging process (19); and after the electrostatic charging process (19), the particles (5) are separated into different fractions (22-24) on the basis of the specific electrostatic charge and/or electric conductivity thereof. In the process, the particles (5) of one fraction (22) of the different fractions (22-24) do not have an electrostatic charge. At least one part of the fraction (22) having particles (5) which do not have an electrostatic charge after the electrostatic charging process (19), said part comprising plastic particles (25') which have residual moisture from the liquid (11), is re-subjected to a drying process (13) and a subsequent electrostatic charging process (19) and is then separated into the different fractions (22-24) on the basis of the specific electrostatic charge and/or electric conductivity of the particles (5) thereof.
